On the schedule

Slow Flow

A steady, breath-paced vinyasa for every level — the class we tell first-timers to start with, and the one regulars never quit.

$18 drop-in

Morning Vinyasa

A stronger, wake-everything-up flow at 6:30 and 8:00 AM, timed so you're out the door before the workday knows you're gone.

Yin & Restorative

Long-held, fully supported poses by candlelight. The least athletic class we teach, and the one people say changed their sleep.

Precise, low-impact core and posture work on the mat — a sturdy companion practice to yoga, taught with plenty of humor.

Your first visit

A first class

01

Reserve a mat

Book online — classes stay small, so a reserved mat is the kind thing to do for everyone.

02

Arrive a little early

Ten minutes is plenty — settle in, borrow anything you need, and let the day go quiet.

03

Practice at your pace

Every pose has a gentler version, and rest is always an option. The hour is yours.

The studio

A room worth arriving early for

Piñon opened in 2013 in a hundred-year-old adobe with thick walls, wood vigas, and the kind of quiet you can't install. We've resisted every trend that didn't serve the practice: no heated mirrors, no forty-person classes, no pressure to perform. What we keep instead is simple — twelve mats per class, teachers with decades of combined study, and a schedule that honors both the 6:30 AM regulars and the folks who can only ever make Sunday morning. Between classes you'll find students lingering over tea on the portal, which we consider part of the practice too. Whether you come to move, to breathe, or just to be somewhere calm for an hour, there's a mat here with your name on it.

From the mat

I tried yoga three times in other cities and bounced off every time. At Piñon it finally made sense — twelve people, a patient teacher, and no one performing for a mirror.
Dana Archuleta
The Sunday yin class is the single best thing I do for myself all week. I've started scheduling around it, not the other way around.
Miguel Torres
I signed up for the beginners' series at 61, certain I'd be the oldest and stiffest person there. I was neither, and now I'm a three-mornings-a-week regular.
Carol Whitfield
That adobe room at golden hour, candles lit, wind in the piñons outside — there's nowhere in Santa Fe I'd rather end a day.

Questions

Good to know

I've never done yoga. Which class should I take?

Start with Slow Flow or the Beginners' Six-Week Series. Both assume nothing, explain everything, and move at a pace where you can actually hear your own breath. Tell the teacher it's your first class — you'll get a little extra attention, never a spotlight.

Do I need to bring a mat?

Only if you want to. We keep clean studio mats, blocks, straps, bolsters, and blankets on hand at no charge — just arrive ten minutes early to get set up.

Do I need to book ahead?

With twelve mats per class, we recommend reserving online — morning classes and Sunday yin fill regularly. That said, we hold two walk-in spots for every class, first come, first served.

Do you offer class packs or memberships?

Yes — a 10-class pack is $150 and never expires, and unlimited monthly membership is $95 with no contract. Your first week at the studio is $25, all classes included, so you can find your favorites before committing.

Is there parking nearby?

There's a small lot behind the studio with eight spaces, and free two-hour street parking along Canyon Road and Delgado Street. Many of our regulars walk or bike — there's a rack by the portal.
