Motion & film studio
Launch films, product motion, and title sequences. Written, shot, animated, and mixed on one stage in Hollywood. We make work people watch to the end — then watch again.
What we make
Every frame in-house — script to mix, one team, one stage.
The sixty-to-ninety-second centerpiece. Script, board, shoot, edit, grade, mix — built to premiere on your biggest day and survive the cutdowns after.
UI choreography, feature reveals, and app-store loops. Rendered from your real product, timed to the frame, exported for every surface.
Openers for series, events, and keynotes. Type, texture, and tempo that tell the story before a word lands.
Logo behavior, transitions, and motion guidelines your in-house team can actually use. Delivered as files and rules, not vibes.
Post-only engagements. We take your footage, find the film inside it, and finish it for broadcast, social, and cinema.

The studio
Frame & Signal opened in 2016 with a rented ARRI and a theory: attention isn't bought, it's earned one cut at a time. Ten years later we're twelve people on a soundstage off Santa Monica Boulevard — directors, animators, a colorist, a composer on speed dial, and a mix room that shakes the floor.
We stay deliberately small. Four launches a quarter, never more. Your film gets the room, the argument, and the extra week of polish — because the work with our name in the credits is the only marketing we do.
Word from the credits
“The launch film paid for itself before lunch. Four million organic views in week one, and the CEO's only note was “run it longer.” Frame & Signal cut a product demo like a trailer — nobody skipped.”
“We sent them a keynote and a deadline. They sent back a title sequence that made our conference feel like a film festival. Three years running now — the opener is the thing speakers mention.”
“Our app had thirty seconds to matter in the store. Their product motion got us featured by Apple twice. Frame-accurate, on time, and the loops still look good a year later.”
Production notes
Money, timelines, ownership — answered straight.
Most land between $38,000 and $120,000 depending on live action, animation, and music licensing. We scope in one call, quote a fixed number, and hold it. Cutdowns and localized versions are priced up front, not discovered later.
Six to ten weeks for a launch film: one for script and boards, two to three in production, the rest in the cut. Product motion runs three to five weeks. If your date is immovable, tell us first — we build the calendar backward from it.
Constantly, and happily. We slot in wherever you need us — direction only, finish only, or the whole pipeline — and every brand-system project ships with motion guidelines your team can run without us.
You do. Full buyout of the finished film across all media, in perpetuity, is our default — with project files and fonts documented at handoff. Music licensing terms are spelled out per track before we cut to it.
Yes. The stage is on Santa Monica Boulevard, but we've shot launches in Tokyo, Berlin, and a lithium mine in Nevada. Travel is quoted at cost, and remote review links keep your team in the room from anywhere.
New projects
Send the date and what's launching. Inside 48 hours you get a treatment, a number, and a first-cut date. Then we make the thing people rewatch.
