The studio
Inside the studio
Vera opened the studio in 2018 after a decade designing restaurant interiors, convinced that homes deserved the same rigour and none of the theatre. We begin every project the same way: an afternoon in your space, watching how the light moves and where the coats actually land. Then we design around the life that is already there — the inherited dining table, the too-many books, the dog. Most of what we place is made to order by Danish and Swedish workshops or found at auction, which takes longer and is worth it. The result is a home that photographs well but was never designed for the photograph.

Fees, timelines, and what happens to the furniture you already love.
How does a project start?
With a home visit — about ninety minutes, in your space, no slideshows. Afterwards you receive a written proposal with a fixed design fee and a realistic timeline. The visit itself costs 1,200 kr, credited in full if we go ahead.
What does a full-home project cost?
Design fees start at 95,000 kr for a full apartment; furniture and build costs come on top and depend entirely on your appetite for bespoke pieces. We agree a total budget at the start and track every krone against it.
How long does it take?
A colour consultation takes two weeks; a kitchen around four months including joinery; a full home typically six to nine months. Made-to-order furniture sets the pace — we will tell you the honest lead times before you commit to anything.
Can we keep our existing furniture?
Please do. The best rooms we have made are built around a piece the client already loved. We design with what you own first, then fill the genuine gaps — reupholstering and restoring where it makes sense.
Do you take projects outside Copenhagen?
Yes — we regularly work across Zealand and take a few projects a year further afield, including summerhouses on the coast. Travel is billed at cost and agreed up front.
