Who you're hiring

The crew your neighbors keep recommending

Atlas started in 1998 with two carpenters and a pickup truck, and grew the only way a contractor should: by finishing on time and answering the phone. Today we run four crews, but the rules haven't changed — the estimate you sign is the price you pay, the foreman you meet on day one is there on the last day, and we don't leave until the punch list is empty.

Every Atlas project carries a two-year workmanship warranty in writing. Not because the paperwork is fun, but because we intend to be building in this city for another twenty-five years, and your kitchen is our reference.

How it works

From first call to final walkthrough

01

Site visit & fixed quote

We measure, scope, and put one number in writing — the price you sign is the price you pay.

02

Schedule you can hold us to

A written timeline with the key dates, and a Friday progress note every single week.

03

Build, inspect, sweep

Our own crews do the work, inspections are booked for you, and the site is broom-clean every night.

04

Walkthrough & warranty

We don't invoice the balance until your punch list is empty — then the written warranty starts.

Reviews

What homeowners say after the dust settles

The quote they gave us in March was the check we wrote in August. Same foreman every day, site swept every night, and the kitchen is better than the drawings. We've already booked them for the basement.
Rachel & Tom Kowalski, Laurelhurst
We interviewed five contractors. Atlas was the only one who flagged the sagging beam behind our wall — and the only bid that never changed. That beam is why we trust them with everything now.
Marcus Yee, Irvington
Our ADU went from permit to keys in nineteen weeks. Their weekly photo updates meant we never once had to drive by and check. It rents for exactly what they said it would.
Dana Whitfield, Sellwood

FAQ

Asked before every project

The honest answers, in plain English — the same ones we give on the phone.

How does your fixed-quote process work?

We measure, we scope, and we put a single number in writing before any work begins. If we open a wall and find rot or bad wiring, we price the fix separately and you decide — the original quote never quietly grows.

Are you licensed and insured?

Fully. Oregon CCB licensed, bonded, and carrying $2M in liability coverage. Our plumbers and electricians are licensed in their own trades — we never sub critical work to handymen.

How long does a typical renovation take?

A bathroom runs 3–4 weeks, a kitchen 6–8, a full-home renovation 3–6 months, and an ADU about 5 months including permits. You get a written schedule before we start and a weekly progress note every Friday.

Can we live in the house during the work?

Usually, yes. We seal work zones with dust barriers, keep one bathroom functional at all times, and shut down power or water only in scheduled, announced windows.

What does the two-year warranty cover?

Everything we built or installed — workmanship, materials we supplied, and the trades we brought in. One call, and we're back to make it right. It's in the contract, not on a handshake.
